About

Plain Sarah Jayne

“When I first moved to New York and I was totally broke,
sometimes I would buy Vogue instead of dinner.
I felt it fed me more.”

Hello I’m Sarah Jayne and welcome to my little space on the internet!

I’m a 25-year-old, North East girl,
who has more lipsticks than sense and has a slight addiction for expensive bags.

I started blogging while I was studying magazine journalism at university, but sadly the workload and working part time caused me to scrap the whole thing. It wasn’t until I was working as a features writer that I felt I needed my own space. So, in November 2014 Plain Sarah Jayne was born – a mix of fashion, beauty and the odd lifestyle post.

The name? Well ever since I can remember I’ve struggled to find my signature style and look, and I’m still searching. What can I say, I’m just a Plain Jayne who sticks to her favourite denim jeans, her trusted winged liner and a classic nude lip.

When I’m not expressing my thoughts and opinions on new products, you’ll find me shopping, reading actual paper books and magazines, hitting the gym, socialising over cocktails, trying out new restaurants and writing all about weddings at Belle Bridal Magazine.

I hope you enjoy my posts and don’t be a stranger – get in touch!

My Disclaimer
I receive various PR samples and gifts from brands to consider for Plain Sarah Jayne, and I’m incredibly lucky and grateful for every opportunity. However, just because they are gifted does not change my opinion or thoughts about the product/s. I only accept gifts and samples that suit my blog and that I feel my readers would like to read about. I always disclose/notify my readers if a product/s have in fact been gifted. Once again, my thoughts and opinions about item/s are my own and are not influenced by the brands involved.

Sponsored & Paid Content
I’m open to sponsored posts and earning some extra pennies, however I don’t allow anyone to write my posts for me. I like to write them all to keep my blog’s tone and writing consistent. I will only accept this type of content if I believe it’s worth sharing with my readers and the content suits my blog.
