Brows on fleek – does anyone even say that anymore?! Well whatever the mantra, today I’m talking about my brows, which are a facial feature I’ve always underestimated. You know me, I’m always late to the party, so why would the brow trend be any different? I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t discover make-up for my brows until about four years ago, and there’s Instagram selfies to prove it too. Within this mind my brows have been on quite a journey. From sleek and heavily defined to a little ombre moment and finally going full circle to a more natural look.
A few months ago I mentioned that I’ve shaken up my make-up routine and that I prefer the make-up make under look. And this goes the same for my brows, which is why I’m talking about how to keep your eyebrows looking natural with the HD Brows Brow Creme.
A take on a classic brow pomade, the Brow Creme promises to create long-lasting, budge-proof brows. Its innovative formula applies like a cream, but sets like a powder ensuring a super natural finish that won’t move for hours. Available in six shades, HD Brows have thought of all hair colours when creating these. I usually tint my brows light brown, so I’ve gone for the shade Foxy, however, the shade Siren has been specifically designed for redheads, so I’d love to give this a go in the future as I haven’t tried a brow product specifically designed for redheads.
One thing I thought quite revolutionary with this product is the packaging features a net. If you’ve used gels, or pomades before you’ll understand that it’s quite easy to pick up a lot of product on your brush. I know, personally, that when this happens I waste a lot of product by wiping it on the back of my hand. This is what the net has been created for; to avoid wastage and the chance of picking up too much product and creating a heavy, or unnatural brow.
To apply this I take a small amount (thanks to the net) on a fine angled brow brush and first define the arch of my brow, creating a fine sharp edge before creating faint hair strokes to fill in my brows.
I’ve always been a fan of pomades and powders for brows and I think this product provides the best of both worlds. The longevity of a pomade with the soft, natural finish of a powder. I find when using this I don’t need to top up, or worry about my brows moving in any way. They look super natural and when I apply mine at 6am my brows still look perfect come 5pm and still later on when I come to wash them off.
I’ve tried quite a number of products from HD Brows and I’ve found that they’re very versatile, allowing you to create the look you desire no matter your style. Whether you want a heavily chiseled appearance, or softly define a feature, they’ve got the tools and the products that deliver.
What’s your go-to product for your brows?
