Anti-aging. One property I always look for when it comes to choosing my skincare products. For years my skincare mantra has been about preventing fine lines and wrinkles, even more so now that I’m in my late twenties. I’ve used serums, creams, face masks, liquids, moisturisers and more, but I’ve never tried a resurfacing cream, until now.
The Gamma Hydroxy cream from Skin Doctors is a new generation in cosmetic skin resurfacing that dramatically smoothes the appearance of wrinkles and acne scarring, as well as reduce the visible signs of skin ageing. The unique formulation of the Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids have been blended to give a cosmetic resurfacing effect that with regular use has been compared to the likes of a chemical peel.
I’ve been using the Gamma Hydroxy every evening for over a month now and it’s only been recently that I’ve noticed the results, which have been rather impressive. Although the effects are compared to the likes of a chemical peel, the product itself delivers results more slowly rather than instant. This is due to the Hydroxy acids within the cream being balanced, delivering smoothing results over time as to not irritate the skin.
When applying the cream it does leave a tingling sensation, but it’s not painful, or harsh and the feeling goes after about 30 seconds. The product is quite thick in consistency and although this cream promises to even the complexion, improve acne scarring, reduce blemishes and hyper-pigmentation, I’ve noticed it’s definitely made my skin a lot smoother, softer and plump to touch.
These results are all down to the combination of acids in the Gamma Hydroxy. Both the Glycolic and Lactic Acids work by loosening or breaking up the thick outer layer of skin. Through this microscopic exfoliation activity, these smooth the skin’s texture problems including acne, fine wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin expressions. They also have the fantastic benefit of kick-starting your skin into its natural regeneration, stimulating collagen and skin growth cycle. The additional Salicylic Acid breaks down any spots and blemishes, clearing clogged pores.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to improve the appearance of their skin. I can’t explain it, but my skin feels brand new – so soft and supple – and it also has this lovely glow to it too.
Have you tried a resurfacing cream before? Or had a chemical peel?
