I’m sure we can all agree that Instagram has become very frustrating. What started out as a simple photo-sharing app has become a fight among users with bigger accounts and sponsored content coming up tops and smaller accounts struggling to be seen. I guess I’m not the only person who’s hating on Instagram right now, and to be honest, the app never really bothered me until recently. I know it won’t happen, but I really want Instagram to change this year and if it could change, these are the changes I would like to see…
Change The Order
Why it changed in the first place I will never know, but I really want to go back to seeing everything in chronological order. I’m sick of liking a picture to find it was posted four days ago, or even worse not seeing a photo at all.
For some reason there seems to be this follow, unfollow trend going on and I just don’t understand it. To make it easier and to potentially stop users from doing it, I would love Instagram to have the ‘following you’ notification that Twitter has on the profiles.
Bye Bye Fakers
I LOVED that Twitter did a cleaning spree and with it swiped away all the fake followers and spammy accounts. I would LOVE Instagram to do the same, because I think we’d all be very surprised to see who actually bought their followers.
Filters On Fleek
I quickly grew tired of Snapchat, but I love Instagram Stories. Although I think the app is lacking in filter options, so I hope that this year they will release loads of new ones.
Just when Instagram couldn’t annoy me anymore, here comes Vero – a new photo-sharing app. Could this be the solution to all the Instagram stress we’ve been having? This is the end of Instagram? Who knows, but there’s certainly a bigger change than we expected coming soon.
What do you think the future of Instagram will be? What changes do you want to see on Instagram?
