One thing I have always feared is getting wrinkles. Now, I know that one day I will eventually have them and there’s nothing I can do about that, but I can do my best to try and prevent them. Lately I’ve been playing close attention to the crow’s feet, or laughter lines – whatever you want to call them – around my eyes and this line I have across my forehead. It could be down to the fact that this month I’m another year older, or because my skincare routine at the moment just doesn’t exist, wherever it’s stemmed from, they are there.
When it comes to skincare products I’m ALL about anything that claims to reduce wrinkles, aims to firm, tighten and tone the skin, or is full of anti-aging magic. The Instant Eyelift and Instant Facelift from Skin Doctors Cosmeceuticals aim to provide all the above, so you can see why I wanted to give them a go.
One product that is staple within my routine is an eye serum. Your eye area is one of two places on your face that doesn’t generate its own hydration, so I always do my best to keep that area as hydrated as possible. I also pay special attention to this area because it’s where I see the majority of my lines, so I know in the future this is going to be my wrinkle problem area.
The Instant Eyelift aims to dramatically smooth away the appearance of wrinkles, bags and puffiness for up to eight hours after application. I honestly expected the Instant Eyelift to be like other serums I’ve tried, however, it exceeded my expectations. I’ve never had botox, but I can imagine that this product feels similar to the results of botox. I actually took me by surprise, just moments after applying a layer under each eye it began to feel a lot tighter. It felt like my eyes had just had a lift, they were so firm and smooth.
Although this doesn’t say it’s hydrating, is it a serum which means it targets the areas underneath the skin. Plus, I have seen a difference since using it and it’s a product I could actually feel and see working.
The Instant Facelift, also known as the five minute lift and tuck, promises to tone, tighten and contour the skin while plumping the appearance of fine lines and smoothing wrinkles. This product is a very thick cream that absorbs into my skin quickly and although I don’t feel it working like the Instant Eyelift, my skin feels smooth to touch and super soft. After a few weeks I can see it’s definitely helped to reduce the appearance of that line on my forehead – thank the lord!
Do you have a fear of wrinkles? Have you incorporated any anti-aging products into your skincare routine? If so, what are your favourites?
