BLOUSE Studio B | JEANS New Look | BAG Michael Kors | SHADES Primark | BOOTS New Look
Y’know when you’ve got literally five minutes to get ready and you haven’t washed your hair, and you’ve got zero make-up on? Well this is the result. For those days where I simply haven’t the time, I thank the lord I always have staples in my wardrobe, bold lipsticks on hand, a pair of shades in the car and some dry shampoo.
When my face and hair are lacking, I try my best to put some effort into what I’m wearing. So, y’know I don’t look like a total slob. A new piece I’ve been absolutely loving is this black blouse with frill detailing, and it’s from an independent fashion boutique in Sunderland. Nestled in the city centre, Studio B is a treasure trove of pretty pieces, statement accessories and luxe home touches (I’m talking Gin & Tonic candles!)
There was quite a few items on the rails that caught my eye, but there was something about the sleeves and pussybow finish that I just couldn’t resist. Although it’s sheer it’s made from a high quality fabric, so it’s not completely see-thru. I’m glad about this as I hate really see-thru tops where you can see EVERYTHING, don’t you?
It’s a minimal blouse that I can wear day or night, for both work or casual day wear. l also find the colour and fit very flattering (I mean you can’t go wrong with black can you?) Plus every time I’ve worn it I’ve received compliments, which is always a bonus!
Today I decided to throw it on with a pair of jeans and style it up with some knee-high boots. I then finished this look by scraping my hair into a bun, applied a quick coat of lippy and put on some shades, and I was ready to take on the day.
What do you think of this blouse? Have you been to Studio B before? Do you love supporting independent businesses too?
