With two bank holiday weekends in April, it’s safe to say the summer is officially here. Although I celebrated the first bank holiday Sunday dressed as a clown (the proof is on Instagram), I wanted to celebrate the second getting all glammed up in a Dress Me Luxe number.
Dress Me Luxe, also known as Dress Me Zee, is a North East-based clothing brand that specialises in creating fashion-forward clothing at affordable prices. I first saw Dress Me Luxe’s latest collection just before Christmas at its launch event in Newcastle. Fast-forward to now, and I’m so excited to give this Diamond Gold Manifold dress a proper night on the town.
Although the images on its website are very glamorous, I swear they don’t do these dresses justice. Unlike other bodycon dresses I’ve bought in the past (that are unflattering, shapeless and show every single lump and bump), this one is made using high quality materials. The material is surprising thick. It feels like that ‘tummy control’ material, which not only makes it extremely flattering, but I also feel super confident when wearing it.
When shopping for dresses I always go for something that shows off my legs, as personally, I wouldn’t say I was curvy. However, this dress in particular is a game changer. I may not have the biggest hips and bum, but I feel like this dress really accentuates my curves. Is it weird to say this dress makes me feel like a proper grown up woman?
I also love the sheer detailing down the side, it just gives this dress that extra va va voom. I feel like I’m showing skin without actually showing skin and I feel so sexy in it, and doesn’t every girl want to feel sexy and confident on a night out?
I’m loving the off-the-shoulder trend at the moment. I personally don’t suit strapless (I just wasn’t blessed with the right kind of arms), but with this dress I get the best of both worlds and still feel like I look good. Plus, it’s one of those styles that never go out of fashion, so I can keep using this dress for years to come.
Since this dress is made using the highest quality fabrics, I feel like it gives support where I need it. The top maybe off-the-shoulder, but the top of the bodice acts like a bra. I have size C boobs and although I can’t wear a bra, I feel comfortable knowing the girls aren’t going anywhere thanks to the structure and support of this dress.
When it comes to staple wardrobe pieces I always associate quality with price and if you’re looking for a little black dress, then I promise Dress Me Luxe won’t disappoint.
Have you heard of this label before? What do you think of my dress? Is there a particular style of dress you love wearing on a night out?
