I can’t believe it’s now February, 2017 is already going so fast! This month has been a whirlwind of new and exciting things, and I really hope my year continues to be like this. Since I’ve been incredibly busy this month and had so much going on, I thought I would share my January highlights with you all…
FINALLY, I decided to purchase a camera for blogging. It’s weird, I kind of feel like I’m officially apart of the #NeBloggers group now (one of us!) Seriously though, I’m so excited to improve on my photography and make my content so much better for my readers. Bear with me while I learn the ridiculous amount of buttons and settings, but I’ll get there – just you wait!
Belle Bridal S/S17
We’ve done it again. Our team has come together and created another fantastic issue filled with the best this region has to offer along with the latest bridal trends from across the globe. I love being apart of this team, I’m so lucky to have found my dream job in Sunderland. I can’t wait to show you what we’ve put together and I hope brides-to-be love it as much as we do!
From Treadmill To 10K
I love running, but I can’t run outside on my own. I’ve tried it a few times and it’s just never stuck, so I just stick to running on a treadmill. I never thought about joining a running club, but after hearing about it from my friend Sam, I thought I’d give it a go. This will be my fourth week now and I’m loving it. In fact, I’m enjoying it so much that I want to challenge myself and run Sunderland’s 10K – watch this space!
A Healthier Lifestyle
Moving on from running, last year I made a complete lifestyle change. I decided to join RH Fitness, a place where I learnt about calories, macros and exercise. The last time I checked, which was November, I had lost six pounds of fat and gained six pounds of muscle.
Although I struggle sometimes to hit my protein when eating, I’m still doing my exercise routine. If you had told me last year that I would be at the gym every morning at 6am lifting weights and then running for miles on an evening, I would have called you crazy. Yes, I’m far from my goal, but I want to give myself credit where credit is due.
Yes, this month I made my debut on Tyne and Wear program, Chatty Lasses. Seeing myself on telly was so weird, but it was a super fun experience and I’m so grateful I got the opportunity to tell the North East about my blog. The most amazing part of it all was the response I got from my family and friends. I’m so lucky to be surrounded with people who support me!
What have you been up to this month? Do you have any highlights you would love to share?
