We already put enough pressure on ourselves to reach aims and goals, and if we don’t achieve them we feel like we’ve let ourselves down. Well I’m not doing that going into 2017. Being an adult is to stressful as it is without adding more pressure to reach goals. So, today instead of talking about things that I aim to do in the new year, I want to talk about what I achieved during 2016…
Belle Bridal Magazine
It’s been two years since I graduated and this year I managed to achieve my dream job as Features Editor for Belle Bridal Magazine. I’ve been working here since March and I absolutely love it. I’m so proud to be apart of such an incredible team that creates such a fantastic product. I can’t wait to see what our dream team will create in 2017!
Plain Sarah Jayne
This year I feel like my blog has achieved some great things that I definitely wasn’t expecting. This year kick-started with me being shortlisted in the SunFM Retail and Style Awards, and although I didn’t win it was amazing just to be apart of it. I’ve also become the first resident blogger for the Bridges Shopping Centre, and since I’m a Sunderland-based lass I’m buzzing! I’m really enjoying promoting the beauty and fashion in my local area. I was also a guest on the local TV show, Chatty Lasses, which shows on January 11th. I’m really excited to work even harder on my blog and see what comes about in 2017.
My boyfriend and I have finally saved enough for a house. I’m so proud that we actually managed to save enough money without spending it. Since we can now go house hunting, we recently took a trip to Ikea to buy bits and bobs. I couldn’t believe how excited we got over cutlery! Saving for a house is probably the biggest thing we’ve ever done, and this year it’s shown us that we’re a team that can do anything we set our minds to.
This year has shown me who the important people are in my life. Those people who generally care and support you always. From new relationships to old friends, my circle of friends are the most amazing kind of people and I’m super lucky to have them.
Fitness and Macros
This year I finally got my head around fitness, weight loss and macros. Since joining RH Fitness I’ve learnt how to transform my body into something I actually want to see when I look in the mirror. Although I’m still far from my goal, since following my weight training and hitting my macros I’ve lost five pounds of body fat and gained five pounds of muscle. I’m going to do my best to stick to clean eating during 2017, but I’ve learnt not to feel guilty of punish myself if I eat something unhealthy.
What did you achieve in 2016? What are your goals for 2017?
