If I was stranded on a desert island and could only take one beauty product with me, it would definitely be mascara. Lately I’ve fell in love with a few new ones, and today I’m sharing with you my three must-have mascaras.
Despite my ginger locks I have the blondest eyelashes and if they’re not coated in lashings of mascara you can hardly see them. Plus, I feel like I look little a boy without mascara on. I can go out bare-faced that’s not a problem, but no mascara? Past me some sunglasses!
L’Oreal Miss Hippie
Normally I don’t really buy into mascaras, I usually just head to Boots whenever I need one. I saw this one on a L’Oreal TV advert and it just really grabbed my attention. It wasn’t the celebrity or model because I have no clue who she is, and usually I don’t go for this style of mascara wand.
Either way I’m glad I picked it up because I love the feathery lash effect it creates, as it’s very natural-looking. It gives great volume and the product doesn’t clump, and it doesn’t leave a crispy edge on the end of my lashes (does anyone else get this?) Overall it’s a brilliant everyday mascara.
KIKO Maxi-Mod Mascara
As soon as I saw the wand on this mascara I had to have it. The brush is actually just the tiniest bit bigger than my pinky nail. It maybe small, but the wand gives huge results. The wand is able to get right to the root of my lashes giving them incredible coverage, separation and volume. I don’t wear false lashes, but I love the false-lash effect and this mascara definitely delivers that.
Clarins Mascara Supra Volume
I received this mascara as a birthday present and I was really excited to try it because it was brand new to the market and I’d heard some amazing things. Out of the three this one has to be my ultimate favourite because I feel like if gives me supermodel lashes.
Firstly, the wand separates my lashes and then creates a fluffy, voluminous effect that’s so glamorous. I just want to fluffer them constantly when I’m wearing this. It’s not so much an everyday mascara – I wear it for nights out, special occasions and on those days when I just want to look my best.
What are your favourite mascaras? Have you tried any of the above before?
