Moving on from my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit and my Primark contour crayons. Lately, I’ve been using the Mii Conceal & Contour Duo pencil to define and highlight my brows. Yes, that’s right, eyebrows.
I was surprised to find this double-ended pencil was for my brows because as soon as I saw the word ‘contour’ I automatically started to apply it to the hollows of my cheeks (which worked too btw!) Plus, I’d never heard of contouring your eyebrows before.
I’ve used the Precision Brow Detailer from the Mii collection and absolutely loved how defined my eyebrows were. So, once I switched my brain on and read the box, I was really eager to see what this duo could do.
In the shade Perfectly Peach, the concealer is set to hide regrowth and imperfections while the contour highlights and lifts to enhance your brow shape.
When I swatched the concealer I found the it to be the perfect shade for my skin tone. Since I’m so pale I usually struggle to find a concealer that isn’t too yellow, luckily this was light enough. On the other hand, when I swatched the contour I was surprised to find it was really light, like almost a highlighter rather than a contour.
I applied the concealer along the bottom of my arch and then along the top – just like I’ve seen many beauty bloggers do. Since it was a creamy consistency I used my fingers to blend it into my foundation.
The product itself is a medium to full coverage, so would definitely hide any imperfections and small regrowths. I then followed by applying the contour on my brow bone, which is highly pigmented, and resulted in a gorgeous, pearly glow.
The two worked together to shape, highlight and give focus to the entire area. Since using this I’ve actually changed my make-up routine. I normally start by applying my foundation, but I’ve now been doing my brows first.
Since shaking up my routine, I’ve found they look a lot more dramatic and defined. Plus it was a lot easier to do them first and then apply my foundation, rather than the other way around.
I contour my face daily and I never would of thought about contouring my brows. Now that I’ve started and the results have shown me quite a difference, it’s something I’ll definitely keep up.
What brows product do you use? Have you ever thought about contouring your brows before?
