The best way to recharge your batteries after a long and stressful week is with a relaxing beauty treatment, and after hearing about RoseBud Holistics, in Whitburn, Sunderland, I ventured there for a much-needed facial.

RoseBud Holistics is the brainchild of Sarah Hunt, who offers a vast selection of beauty and reflexology treatments from her Garden Therapy Room. Sarah, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience, specialises in reflexology for both adults and children, but is also fully qualified in a variety of beauty treatments.

Although Sarah offers a home-visit service I decided I wanted to travel to her Garden Therapy Room because visiting a salon or spa I think is half of the experience, and I’m so glad I did.

Surrounded by flowers and bunting, the Garden Therapy Room is super pretty and quaint. It’s filled with fairy lights, butterflies, canvases printed with positive quotes and comforty chairs with plenty of pillows and throws – it’s just the ultimate chill out area.

From reflexology and Indian head massages to facials and crystal tranquility, there’s plenty of treatments to choose from, and I chose the Deluxe Botanical Facial*. It was incredibly relaxing, so relaxing I almost felt asleep.

I was in the Garden Therapy Room for just under an hour and during that time Sarah cleansed and exfoliated my face, then used hot steam mitts followed by a facial oil massage. She then applied a thick layer of face mask and while that soaked in I was treated to a foot massage.

Now, I’ve never had a foot massage before and I was a little worried that my feet weren’t in the best condition (doesn’t everyone?) but it was so relaxing. I didn’t know you could feel so calm just from rubbing your feet. Afterwards Sarah then toned and moisturised my face, and applied eye serum.

Not only did I feel totally relaxed, but my skin felt amazing too. It felt so soft and supple, and it had a gorgeous glow about it. Sarah used a selection of salon-quality products by SkinTruth, which she selected to suit my skin type.

For the amount of products she used and for the amount of time it took (just over an hour) I was incredibly surprised by the price. The Deluxe Botanical facial is only £25, which is super affordable compared to some of the salons I’ve been to.

This facial was exactly what I needed to unwind and calm down, and I can’t wait to return and try out the other treatments at RoseBud Holistics. In addition to vouchers and treatment packages, RoseBud Holistic offers a loyalty card system, which is an added bonus, as I love a good loyalty card system!

Have you been to RoseBud Holistics before? What do you do to unwind and relax?
