Five Things I’m Working On

Since I’ve been so busy with work and life I’ve kinda let my blog slip a little, but I’m not going to get down about it. Instead I’m going to power on and just take it as a learning curve and try and improve on them. So, here’s what I’m working on…

Photographs. I seriously need to invest in a proper camera. I know I get by with my iPhone and it does come in handy when uploading images to social media, but I really want to work on making my images look as professional, and well, as striking as possible. I do have ‘new camera’ on my birthday wishlist. Do you have any camera suggestions?

Spelling. Yes, even as a trained journalist I spell things wrong. Now, as part of my job I proof the hell out of my features and editorial, but with blogging I’m a little bit laid back. This doesn’t mean I don’t facepalm myself everytime I see a mistake, but I’m only human. Even though I’m going to do my best to not let this happen, let’s face it, it’s probably going to happen again.

Not posting. Does anyone get that guilty feeling when they don’t post? I hate that feeling, like it actually stresses me out. I really want to learn how to calm down and not stress myself out if I don’t post. So what if I don’t post? It’s not the end of the world Sarah!

Reading more. I LOVE blogs, but I don’t read them enough. I want to start dedicating some more time to finally scroll through my Bloglovin account and find some new and exciting blogs to read. I also want to starting commenting on more blogs because I understand the effort and hardwork that goes into each and every post.

Not turning ideas into actions. I have so many ideas, but when it comes to writing them down I just think they’re stupid and don’t follow them through. Well, enough is enough. I’m going to stop questioning and criticizing myself and start writing what I want to write about.

Is there anything you’re working on as a blogger? Please leave your links below so I can start reading and commenting more!

I feel so guilty when I don’t post too, I can be busy at my friends house or something then panic because I’ve forgot to schedule a post and I’ve not had a post for a few days, it really irritates me haha, I’m glad I’m not the only one!

I know the not posting guilt. Last year, I went the opposite way and posted every single day and it nearly killed me haha. This year I’ve decided to post when I have content and when it comes naturally and I feel much more content with my blog because its not forced or stressing me out xxx

Awww Laura, I need to take a page out of your book. I’m starting to realise that content is everything and I don’t want to force anything. Can’t believe you blogged everything single day – wow, go girl! xxx
