Flannels is one of the UK’s luxury retailers that specialise in contemporary men’s and women’s designer clothing, footwear and accessories, and it’s just opened its doors in Fawcett Street, Sunderland.
Yes, that’s right. A huge designer store filled to the brim with heavenly labels I’ve been drooling over has set up shop in Sunders! I have to admit I had to pinch myself when I heard the news, as you usually find stores like this in Newcastle.
The abandon unit, which was once the old Primark, is now a sleek and stylish store and this weekend I finally took a trip to see what the building looks like, and of course, lust over its products.
I wasn’t even through the door before a pair of Valentino Rock Stud Heels were calling to me and OMG they’re so beautiful – if only I had a spare £600!
I quickly realised that downstairs is filled with menswear, so I took the escalator to the first floor where I was greeted with walls filled with shoes and accessories – it was a gorgeous sight.
Michael Kors, Ash, Moschino, DKNY, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood and Jimmy Cho, were just a few of the brands I saw while making my way around. Although there’s countless of bags and shoes I’d love to buy, at the moment I have my sights set on a pair of Michael Kors flats.
Now, usually I’d wait till payday, but at the moment Flannels have an opening offer; for every £150 you spend you’ll receive a £30 voucher, which I think is a pretty good offer.
I think this is a fantastic opportunity for Sunderland and I hope this attracts more shoppers to the area. First Beyonce and then Flannels, what next a Charlotte Tilbury counter? Here’s hoping!
Have you been to Flannels yet? What designer items are you lusting after?
