My Favourite YouTubers

My Favourite YouTubers

I have a little confession to make. I’ve been cheating on bloggers with YouTubers, and I have to admit, I’m hooked.

Since I was ill over the Christmas holidays and struggled most days to get out of bed, okay maybe not struggled, the only thing that got me through the day, other than a full tin of Quality Streets, was my huge subscription list.

How did this sordid affair start? Well, I’ve always had a favourite few that I watch religiously, but since my friend Abi introduced me to her YouTube list I’ve been addicted to hitting that play button ever since.

I’m sure all you bloggers have a guilty YouTube pleasure, so I thought I would scroll through my list and share my ultimate favourites with you all…

My Pale Skin // I came across Em Ford just before her ‘You Look Disgusting’ video became a sensation, and I thought she was just so inspiring. She’s so bubbly, has a positive outlook and is extremely hard worker. Her channel is a mix of acne coverage videos, make-up tutorials and skincare routines. Even though I don’t have acne myself, I still can’t help but watch these videos. I think she’s relatable for so many people out there. One thing I hate about watching her channel is the negative comments she receives, some people should be ashamed of themselves. We should all be spreading the love!

Must watch – My Acne Skincare Routine

Nikki Tutorials // What a lady. I honestly can’t believe it’s took me so long to find Nikki and her tutorials. She’s one of the funniest Youtubers I have ever watched. The first video I ever watched was the one featuring Jeffree Star and I wear by the end of it my mascara was half way down my face! In addition to her hilarious commentary, her make-up tutorials are incredible. Her “mask” is absolutely flawless and you’ve got to believe me, this girl has some serious make-up skills.

Must watch – Get Ready With Me and Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star // Two words; sassy and sensational. I came across Jeffree Star after scrolling through many, many Instagram accounts and I was completely mesmerized by him. His mixture of bold, bright looks and a mass amount of highlighter had me stuck in a daze, and then I was like helloooo YouTube! I can’t explain how funny and amazing his tutorials are, and his make-up collection, Jeffree Star Cosmetics is what dreams are made of.

Must watch – The Face Routine

Carly Musleh // Representin’ the North East is this absolute beaut. I’ve seen Carly at a few blogging events, but I’ve never had the guts to actually go and speak to her, which I ALWAYS end up regretting. I don’t know why, in her videos she is so lovely and down-to-earth. I love her beauty bargain content, it’s always so interesting and I feel like I actually learn something from watching it. Plus, she does loads of beauty hacks that I would never think to try!

Must watch – Brown Ale Conditioner

Although I love all of the above, can you guess what’s missing? That’s right, MORE North East Youtubers! So, please if you’ve got a Youtube channel send me your links, I’d love to have a watch!

Do you subscribe to any of these Youtubers? Share your favourites with me!

I never used to really get youtube or why people were obsessed with watching it, but last year that changed! I’m now addicted to a few channels, my favourites are the ones that have great tutorials but also vlogs from every day life. My favourites are Lily Pebbles and Hello October … I probably watch them every day and worryingly Simon now knows who they are just from the sound of their voices!

Ohhh I’ve never watched them before! I will have to check them out! x
