Now, I’m not one for counting calories, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the results thanks to My Fitness Pal. A friend at work downloaded this app in January and since then has lost an amazing two stone and is still dropping the pounds.
So, in my effort to drop half a stone before Miami and achieve a beach body I thought I’d give it a go. It’s pretty simply really; you download the app, input your details and the app tells you how many calories, fats, sugars, carbs etc you should have a day to achieve your goal.
I’ve never ever calorie counted because I never actually believed it works when dieting, I always believe its down to healthy eating and plenty of exercise. But, I’ve been doing it for a few weeks now and I’ve lost three pounds so far.
I still don’t think calorie counting is the best thing to do, but by inputting my daily food intake it’s really helped me realise what rubbish food I’ve been eating. And having a calorie goal has pushed me to eat healthier meals and more of them, rather than eating less and pigging out on burgers and nutella filled cookies.
