Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

This wasn’t on my foundation wish list, but some of my friends have recently tried the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation and have said nothing but good things about it, so I thought I’d give it a go.

I love a lot of Urban Decay products, including the Naked palettes, eyeshadow primers and lip glosses, so I don’t know why I haven’t tried the Naked Skin sooner.

Whenever I try a new foundation I always seem underwhelmed by it and go back to my most reliable one, Matchmaster by MAC. However, after trying this I really feel like I’ve found another that’s on par with my favourite MAC foundation.

It says on the box it’s weightless, ultra definition liquid make up and I couldn’t agree more. The foundation is so light it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything. Plus, you can build it up, so if you prefer a medium to heavy coverage it’s easily achievable without feeling like your face is thick with make up.

Normally when I apply my foundation I usually squirk small amounts around my face, but you have to be careful how much you apply as it’s quite runny and can get everywhere if you don’t reach for your beauty blender, or brush in time.

The only thing I think this foundation lacks is a nice scent, not to say it has a bad one, it doesn’t really have a scent but it’s always a bonus when a product smells incredible.

I pay around £25 – £30 for my MAC foundations (Matchmaster and Studio Fix) and after trying this foundation I think £27 is about right. I know you can find cheaper ones in Boots and Superdrug, but having tried a few cheaper alternatives I think you pay for quality. However, if you have a good cheaper foundation please let me know!

Overall this foundation certainly gives a flawless complexion, I use my beauty blender to apply this foundation and the results are truly amazing. I’m really happy I decided to try this product, I don’t know why I’m surprised I like it since I love Urban Decay, but I’ll definitely be buying more of this.

If you’ve tried Urban Decay Naked Skin please let me know your thoughts on the product!

It isn’t a bad smell, but some of the cheaper foundations like Rimmel’s Wake Me Up smells incredible! Just would have been a bonus if it smelt amazing.

Awh I want to try this too! Apparently Kim Kardashian wore Urban decay for her big day, I know the girl has gorgeous skin anyway, but if this foundation got me even a step closer to her clear complexion I’d be on it in a flash. Maybe santa will hook me up. Really helpful post x

It’s true Kim K wore it on her big day! It does give you quite a clear complexion, plus it gives you a dewy, radiant glow. I’d definitely recommend you try it out! :)

      Thank you very much! xx

Im actually sold, I love dewey foundations! MAC used to have the nicest cream blusher that again was so dewey without looking greasy, it was called “liliscent” but its discontinued! Im on three waiting lists for it throughout Ireland..desperate I know. ha
