So, what was a quick trip to Superdrug to buy some foundation turned into quite an exciting make up haul. As I was walking to the till I spotted the Revolution make up stand, since I’d never heard of the brand before I stopped and had a look over their products and after seeing how cheap they were I was quick to grab a few.
Can you believe these six items came to £10? How cheap! And they’re fantastically pigmented for how inexpensive they are. The highlighter is definitely my favoured, it’s in the colour Golden Lights and is super pretty.
I’m usually not a bronzer kind of girl because I’m so fair, but since their was a 3 for 2 offer on I thought why not try it, so I picked the lightest shade, Golden Days.
As you can see they’re highly pigmented, I popped a little bronzer where I’d normally contour and I applied the highlighter on just under my brow and above my cheeks. Being a powder base they’re pretty easy to apply, I used my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply both, but I found using my fingers to apply the highlighter worked just as well.
I’m a sucker for brown and cream shades, I use them almost everyday as part of my make up routine. I chose a range of matte and shimmer shades, which I could blend together and build up. I went for; Mocha Love, Base! and I Need You and for £1 each these eyeshadows are brilliant, especially the cream and shimmery dark brown one.
This matte nude lipstick is absolutely fabulous for a £1, in fact I would say it’s up there with MAC’s Honey Love, which is my ultimate favourite nude. This lipstick in shade The One applies really easily, smells of vanilla and doesn’t dry your lips out or crumbles, which I’ve experienced with a few matte lipsticks.
Overall, I think for the price this make up is fantastic and I’m so glad I noticed it before leaving Superdrug. It’s so cheap, but so pigmented and really good quality, if you’re in need of some bargain make up look no further. But if you’re looking for some vegan makeup, you may want to check out, nclabeauty.com.
Please let me know if any of you have tried any products from Revolution and what your thoughts are, and if they’re different to the ones I’ve tried please let me know!
